Vox Novus is a Pretoria based chamber ensemble. The ensemble was founded by composer Franco Prinsloo with a focus on quality recordings and performances of his own music, as well as a selection of music by other Pretoria based composers. The choir has recorded two collections of music by composers: Franco Prinsloo, Zander Fick and Pieter Bezuidenhout, “South African Choral Music Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2”. In 2018 a new recording will be released: “Naledi - An African Journey” featuring music of the choral musical with the same name. "Naledi: An African Journey" was commissioned by Lhente-Mari Pitout for the University of Pretoria Youth Choir to celebrate and explore the unique and diverse choral music heritage of South Africa. This fusion of choral traditions features unique South African Folklore and celebrates all 11 official languages of this diverse country.
